The workshop will be hosted by the Department of Computer
Science at University
of Pittsburgh. The
department is located in Sennott Hall building at 210
S. Bouquet, Pittsburgh, PA
in a neighborhood called Oakland.
We have three rooms reserved on the 5th floor of the building.
Location
The workshop location can be seen on Google
Maps or on this University
of Pittsburgh page. You can also see
a photo of the outside of the building on the department
webpage.
Directions by bus
There are two bus stops close to the building, each served
by many bus lines. The closest one is at the intersection between Forbes Avenue and
South Bouquet and is right across from the building. The other bus stop is at
the intersection between Fifth Avenue and Oakland Avenue and you will have to
walk 2 blocks to get to the building (see the map).
- From
Downtown – take any bus that goes through Oakland
(e.g. 61A-B-C-D,501,67EFJ serve Forbes at S. Boquet; 500,71A,71B,71C,71D serve Fifth at Oakland). Please note
that the neighborhood between Downtown and Oakland is not very safe to walk after
dark – either take a bus or a taxi back.
- From
Airport – take the 28X bus. Ask the driver to drop you in Oakland at the
intersection between Forbes
Avenue and South Bouquet.
Finding your way into the building
There are two entrances into the building. The main entrance
is on the S. Bouquet Street.
The other entrance is on the Forbes
Avenue, through Panera
(enter Panera and use the first door on the left).
Both entrances take you to the elevators. Take the elevator to the 5th
floor and follow the posted signs to room 5317.
