Edgerton House Transfer Lottery, 2008

The Edgerton Student Advisory Board (SAB) is running the Edgerton Transfer Lottery this May. The transfer lottery allows residents who are guaranteed Fall-housing at Edgerton to switch rooms within Edgerton.

NOTE: Please do not confuse the Edgerton Transfer Lottery with the Graduate Housing Assignment Process. You CANNOT participate in the former if you participate in the latter.

To determine whether you are eligible to participate, and for some further details, consult this Transfer Lottery cheat sheet (also available in PDF). If you have questions about your housing status, email Sandy Lugo at graduatehousing@mit.edu.

Allocations in the lottery will be based on resident choices, and seniority points. Residents apply for transferring to apartments in groups. The total number of seniority points for each group is considered while making allocations. See the Transfer Lottery Rules (also available in PDF) for more details.

Coed apartment-mates: Edgerton will grant requests for coed apartment-mates, in 2-bedroom apartments only. See the Coed Apartment-mates FAQ.

To participate in the transfer lottery, fill out the application form. A list of all available rooms is included in that form.

Key dates

If you have questions about the transfer lottery, email the SAB at eh-sab@mit.edu. Oh, and please DON'T bug the housemasters or the officers! They have nothing to do with the transfer process.
