I have been building online communities for over 15 years.
Currently I am Digital Revenue & Marketing Operations Manager at
WBUR,
as well as founder of Bermidor Connections LLC, helping brands, agencies, and individuals
visualize their social media goals and develop strategies to meet them.
The first time I had "social media" in my job title was when I worked for
Boston.com
and
The Boston Globe.
I managed the brands' main social media accounts and trained editors, reporters and producers on the
best ways to use social media for reporting, engaging and growing readership.
I also coordinated breaking news coverage via social media and live-blogging for major news events, including the
Boston Marathon bombings.
Previously, I worked for several start-ups, including
WEGOHealth.com,
which is focused on building targeted communities of interest and connecting members with consumer brands.
I started my career at
iVillage.com,
where I helped launch one of the first websites aimed at politically-active women.
I'm a Barnard College grad and live in the Boston area with my husband and children.
