Welcome!
I'm a senior at MIT studying electrical engineering and computer science, plus adventures in biology, neuroscience and physics. I'm an undergraduate researcher at the Evolutionary Design and Optimization Group at MIT CSAIL. I also study and am active in music.
Summer Goals
I am currently seeking a summer internship as part of a software development team. I want to gain more experience developing professional-grade software, and to learn more about the industry. Some technologies I'm interested in include machine learning, cloud applications and infrastructure, and the android platform in general. While I consider myself to be more of a back-end person, I'm primarily interested in contributing to technologies which have a large impact on the field or their target audience.
Personal Details
I grew up in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, a suburb of the great city of Portland. I spend much of my "free" time with a saxophone, piano, notepad or any other musical objects at hand. My other hobbies include cooking, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking and backpacking, making murals, and sw/hw hacking. I've been trying geocaching lately, which I highly recommend. Also, I like spicy food, and although I was raised on PBS and am usually hypercritical of Viacom et al, I think Breaking Bad is really well done.
