The Supercomputing Technologies
Group at the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science has
developed a chess program called Cilkchess. Cilkchess competed in the
1998 Dutch
Open Computer Chess Championship on November 21, 22,
28, and 29, taking second prize in this year's competition!
Cilkchess is running on a 64-processor SGI
Origin 2000 at Boston
University's Center for
Computational Science.
