# CCS'16 Key Sharing Datasets # Hosting Provider Management Policies Dataset # Frank Cangialosi (frankc@csail.mit.edu) # November 2016 This dataset is split into two files (rdns-management.tsv and asn-management.tsv) to cleanly separate services we have identified by rDNS and those we have identified by ASN. These files provide the same information and have the same columns four columns, which are tab-separated: 1. An rDNS domain or ASN 2. Management policy ("centralized" or "decentralized") 3. Number of certificates issued by the most popular issuing CA for this provider 4. Fraction of all certificates that were issued by the most popular issuing CA (i.e. (3) / # total certs) If (4) is at least 50%, then we conclude the provider exhibits centralized management (i.e. manages certificates on its customers' behalf), and otherwise it exhibits decentralized management (customers mostly obtain their own certificates).
