Indeed I did not.  And in fact I had neglected to consider the possibility
that they didn't write the PHP code, but just inherited it from somewhere
(though I am skeptical that ecommerce code can simply be inherited without
substantial customization).  If that turns out to be the case then I would
withdraw my comments.

Yes, that is precisely (half of) my point (the other half being that
despite this fun-o chose to use PHP for some reason, and from the point of
view of an outside observer this doesn't reflect well on their product.  I
had the same criticism of Franz for a while when their site was served by
Apache instead of Allegroserve.)
