I hope you enjoy these photos! Please let me know if I should take some down. Some older favorites are on flickr. I'm also trying out Google's PicasaWeb.

Rakefile
This automates the generation of thumbnails in new directories using makethumbs.pl below, and the distribution of updated copies of the index.cgi from the current directory.

It is an input file for the Ruby Rake utility.

The idea is that you put this in the base directory inside which all your photos live, and whenever you update anything, simply run rake and this will make all the magic happen. It uses makethumbs.pl, so make sure you grab that, or else modify it to use your own thumbnail generator (or ignore thumbnails).

index-cgi.txt
This is a copy of the index.cgi used to generate this page.

You're more than welcome to take it and use it, though I'd appreciate if you pointed people here when distributing it so that everyone gets up-to-date clean copies. If you have improvements, please also let me know.

I would also grab the accompanying Rakefile and makethumbs.pl, though you can certainly create your thumbnails a different way.

makethumbs.pl
This is the script that (surprise surprise!) generates the thumbnails and lighter color images (for that brightness symbol at the upper right) using ImageMagick's convert utility. On debian, apt-get install imagemagick first.
