About COLLISIONcollective

The COLLISIONcollective (aka CC) was founded in 2002 as an offshoot of ATat, whose charter was to host events showcasing art that incorporates technology. The major events, called Collisions, bring together people of all ages engaging with interactive robotic art, exploring laser lighted spaces, shaking their heads at LED sculptures, listening and dancing to live electronic music and generally having a good time while being introduced to the future of art.

CC was formed to both promote artists, create more events, and to foster the exchange of ideas, techniques, and enthusiasm from and for making art. CC members also meet roughly every other week in meetings, dubbed COLLISIONcollusion, with different artists sharing their work and techniques each session. CC members' work can be found in MIT basements, Boston lofts, local art galleries and in museums from Chicago, New York, San Francisco and overseas.
