I should remove all client-specific stuff from the ifile distribution
and relegate that to separate packages.

BUG REPORT: Going to 1040 messages, ifile dumps core: ifile_realloc
returns a 0 which is then used without being checked in
ifile_lexer_simple_open_text_fp. This actually explains why, in
spite of training ifile on my mail spool, some stuff was never
getting filed right; the initial training dumped core on the largest
directories of mail before writing back the db ;-)

you can delete a message at the same time as inserting/updating it to
another:

  ifile -d <wrong-folder> -i <right-folder> <message-file>

in order to protect yourself against this, use:

  ifile -u <right-folder> <message-file>

which throws an error if used on a non-existing folder.

ALARM!!! i just tried this, but there's something wrong: i used:

  ifile -u scharboiz Readme.ngrep

ifile does /not/ return any error. next test:

  ifile -v3 -u scharboiz Readme.ngrep
  --update
  ARGP_KEY_ARG
  ARGP_KEY_END
  ARGP_KEY_SUCCESS
  1 file(s) passed
  file #0: Readme.ngrep
  home directory = /root
  Reading messages...
  Reading message...
Finishing reading message. Time used: 0.008 sec
Read 1 messages. Time used: 0.008 sec
  Reading /root/.idata from disk...
Read 2 categories, 10367 words. Time used: 0.125 sec
Trimmed 11 words due to lack of frequency
  Writing /root/.idata to disk...
Wrote 2 folders, 10356 words. Time used: 0.078 sec

jason, in my understanding the -u option should just throw an error
when the folder mentioned doesn't exist, but instead it goes through
the entire process, only leaving out the creation of a new folder! i
think this is a serious bug. i cannot even correct whatever damage
this iperation incurs:

  ifile -d scharboiz Readme.ngrep
Folder "scharboiz" does not appear to exist

(btw, the file Readme.ngrep was just the first file in the particular
directory i was in, it has nothing to do with this.)

please, jason, make -u complain if the indicated folder doesn't exist!

Yes; sorry, I was just being dense before.

However, perhaps there could be slightly more detail in the manual
page. I'd love to see a short overview of which parts of the lexer are
run in which order, with perhaps a word or two about what each stage
does.
