THE ROBOT PROJECT

An exploration of what it means to be human on the 85th anniversary of the invention of the robot

The Robot Project is a collection of films, talks with invited speakers, and performances of R.U.R (Rossum's Universal Robots) - the play that was the source of the first robots. This year is the 85th anniversary of the invention of the robot and we want to use the robot to explore what it means to be human. The project is an event that aims to combine diverse activities - from theatrical performances of R.U.R, film, an art exhibition, and discussion. The project will examine what it means to be human by exploring the history, imagery, and technology of the robot.
