Abstract

This work describes a sound synthesis technique based on controlling chaotic attractors. In particular, it describes a method for controlling the double-scroll attractor, which we found was capable of producing a remarkable variety of sounds. A basic introduction to other sound synthesis techniques is also provided for background.
