Keith Kotay's World Tour '97

-or-

How to see the world and get really tired

-or-

Now I know why I wouldn't want to be in a band that tours a lot

These pages chronicle my travels in the summer of 1997. I spent the summer in Japan participating in the NSF Summer Institute in Japan program. Then I went to France for a robotics conference and then I visited a friend in Belgium. I managed to see a few other countries along the way, although mostly I was just passing through. It was a great summer but it didn't always seem that way while I was going through it. I suppose that's the way most adventures are. If you want to read about my summer and see some photographs I took, start at the itinerary.

All photographs were taken by Keith Kotay except as noted. Most photographs are sharper than it appears on these pages due to the use of a flatbed scanner. I should have used a negative scanner but I didn't have the time. If I can find the time (ha-ha) I may rescan some photos using a negative scanner.
