Howdy, my name is Matt, and I am done.

My research at Caltech involves analog VLSI models of biological computation, with an emphasis on pyrotechnic display technology. Heh heh heh, sorry, just couldn't help it. Actually....

I work on the Cog project, in the Cog Shop, superdupervised by Professor Rodney A. Brooks. I have my own lab bench up there, and it is next to another lab bench belonging to my friend Robert Irie. When I am not upstairs working with Cog, I used to be downstairs in the office that I shared with Maja Mataric. My office neighbor back then was Charles Isbell, who writes some extraordinary reviews of hip-hop albums.

After Maja graduated, I moved to the funkest office in Tech. Square --- --- which I shared with my wonderful officemates, Yoky Matsuoka and Cynthia Breazeal. That was living.

Now, I am in ZoneB, with officemates Cindy and Scaz. (Well, actually, Cindy graduated, so now it is Scaz and the Bryan Adams.)

We're all cheerful, productive students at the MIT AI Lab. (And we're all MIT students, so we occasionally make use of SIPB.)

You used to be able to finger maddog@ai.mit.edu, but that has been shut down. This is what you might have seen.

I have a friend at Berkeley, Dave Bacher who used to work on cool stuff in the MIT LCS. Everyone should have a friend at Berkeley.
