To pick a date, email madhu with your top three preferences among the available dates above. 2. Signup early. Pick your date based on your other constraints and *not* based on topic. Topics may well change. If you decide to drop the course before your scribe date, inform madhu as soon as possible but no later than 24 hours before your scribe assignment. 3. Scribing has to be done in latex. If you don't know how to use latex, talk to your fellow students. It is easy to learn the basics, and very useful if you plan to write papers in the future. 4. Your scribe notes serve two purposes: (i) It provides information to your fellow classmates, and (ii) It helpe you improve your writing skills. To serve the two purposes, your responsibilities are as follows: (a) Send a draft of the notes within 24 hours of the lecture to madhu. (b) Send a more polished version later. For preparing the polished version, feel free to set up an appointment with madhu and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your draft. (c) Your polished version will be graded.
