Call for Nominations: ACM TOCT Editor-in-Chief


The term of the current editor of the ACM Transactions on Computation Theory will end soon. A search committee has been formed to identify candidates for Editor-in-Chief and to recommend the most suitable one to the ACM Publications Board.

The Position

The position is for a term (renewable once) of three years, starting on November 15, 2010. The duties of ACM Editors-in-Chief as well as criteria of selection are summarized in this document. Further information can be found in ACM Publications Policies.

Qualifications

Candidates should be well-established researchers in areas related to theory of computation, broadly conceived, and should have sufficient experience serving on conference program committees and journal editorial boards.

Nomination Process

Nominations should be sent by email to Madhu Sudan.

To nominate yourselves or a colleague, send a brief email summarizing the candidate's editorial qualifications. During the assessment period, the committee might ask candidates for further information, potentially including a CV and a vision statement.

Deadline

The committee will start evaluating candidates on October 1, 2010. Nominations arriving after this date are not guaranteed to be considered.
