Installing Scheme without an Internet Connection
If your computer does not have an internet connection, you can still
download and use MITScheme. Presumably you have access to a machine
connected to the internet since you are viewing this web page. The
standard installation has been broken up into pieces sized to fit on
3.5" floppy disks.
- Download each of the following links and place them on the
appropriate disks:
- Take the disks to the machine you wish to install MITScheme on.
- Insert disk 1 and double-click on the Winzip95 icon to install WinZip
- Unzip the file disk1.zip to c:\temp (Or your temporary directory).
- Unzip disk2.zip,disk3.zip, and disk4.zip from Disks 2, 3, and 4 respectively to c:\temp
- Double Click on Setup to install MITScheme
