Brief Bio

Brian Milch is a software engineer in the Search Quality group at Google. Before joining Google, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at MIT. He received his B.S. with honors in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University in 2000. He then spent a year as a research engineer at Google before entering the Ph.D. program in computer science at U.C. Berkeley. He completed his Ph.D. in 2006, working with Prof. Stuart Russell. He is the recipient of an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and a Siebel Scholarship, and he was named one of the "Ten to Watch" in artificial intelligence by IEEE Intelligent Systems in 2008.
