Vahab S. Mirrokni

My name is Seyed Vahab Mirrokni. I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Theory Group at Microsoft Research. I received my PhD in Theoretical Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology under supervision of Professor Michel Goemans .

Prior to joining Microsoft Research, I was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Theory of Computation Group at MIT Computer Science and AI Laboratory. I was also holding a research scientist position in the strategic planning and optimization group at Amazon.com . I have a B.Sc. from the Computer Engineering Department of Sharif University of Technology .

During my PhD studies, I worked at Microsoft theory group , visited the theory of computation group in IBM T.J. Watson research center, and worked as an intern at Networking Research Lab. of Bell-Laboratories and visited Fundamental Mathematics Department at Bell-Labs.


Teaching Last semester, I cotaught Algorithms and Economics of Networks as a graduate course at University of Washington.
