Vahab S. Mirrokni

My name is Seyed Vahab Mirrokni. I recently moved to the Google research group in New York. Previously, I was in the Theory Group at Microsoft Research. Prior to joining Microsoft Research, I was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Theory of Computation Group at MIT Computer Science and AI Laboratory. I was also holding a research scientist position in the strategic planning and optimization group at Amazon.com .

I received my PhD in Theoretical Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology under supervision of Professor Michel Goemans . I have a B.Sc. from the Computer Engineering Department of Sharif University of Technology .

During my PhD studies, I spent some time in the theory and networking groups at Microsoft Research , IBM T.J. Watson research center, and Bell-Laboratories.
