Mukul S. Bansal

Welcome to my homepage! I am a postdoctoral associate at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and am a member of the Computational Biology Research Group. My advisors here are Prof. Manolis Kellis and Prof. Eric Alm.

Prior to joining MIT, I was a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Ron Shamir at the Blavatnik School of Computer Science at Tel Aviv University, Israel.

I finished my PhD in Summer 2009 at the Department of Computer Science at Iowa State University, USA, where my advisors were Prof. David Fernández-Baca and Prof. Oliver Eulenstein.

Research Interests: Computational Biology and Bioinformatics in general, with a particular focus on phylogenetics and comparative genomics.
