There's something seriosuly wrong with how some people write HTML. I'm getting pretty annoyed at how people use all sorts of Java and CGI to do something that's very simple. Why must your website tell me the time and play music? [13/1/2005]
What are we supposed to call this decade? It seems we've adopted the term the 21st century, but when we look back from the next decade (which I suppose will be called the teens), what will we call it. I move for the Naughts. I'm pretty sure that's what they called 1900-1910. (Follow Up: Apparently they were called the Aughts, but that's okay. I like Naughts better) [21/9/2004]
Why does everyone seem to assume that the outside of food containers are clean? They're there specifically, to protect the food on the inside from the germs on the outside. [16/2/2004]
Why does the US use MM/DD/YYYY format? Wouldn't it make more sense to have it in DD/MM/YYYY format so the time granularity is focusing on progressively coarser time intervals? [16/2/2004]

We should split electoral votes by population in each state. This would prevent the rampant swing-state courting while still making the smaller state sufficiently important to worry about. Perhaps coupling this with a variable weight per state based on voter turnout, and we may one day have a system where voting will matter in most of the country. [25/10/2004]
I can understand why the conservatives don't want to see a higher amount of gun control; it's not a personal living choice. Mind you, that the fact that guns are in fact used to infringe on other people's rights, but it's entirely possible that the attitudes about guns are simply a instinctual backlash against what we perceive to be the problem. But how does this mesh at all with the right's attitude on gay marriage? Gays aren't asking for you to adopt their lifestyle, or to accept their marriage in a religious sense, only to accept it as in a legal sense. Isn't prohibiting marriage the right forcing it's views on others? I'm not saying which stances are correct, but perhaps the left and the right should be more consistent in their views. [18/11/2004]
