Unfortunately, the correct way to compile and link your source-code files
depends on your C supplier and on your operating system. Usually, the
name of the program that compiles and links is cc, but some vendors
elect to use other names. Accordingly, you many need to refer to your
compiler manual, or to ask a local wizard, if the instructions given in the
following segments do not work for you.
