• If you wish to extract a character from a character array, then access that array as you would any other:

  array name[character's index] 
  

• If you wish to obtain the character code for a specific character, then surround that character with single quotation marks.
• You can use character codes in switch statements.
• You can assign character codes to enumeration constants in enumeration statements.
