1033: Mainline

There are two primary ways to communicate with a servlet from a browser. One way is to specify the name of the servlet in an HTML link, as explained in Segment 1034.

Another way, using HTML forms, is introduced in Segment 1044.

Thus, you see examples of both kinds of communicaion. The result of the first example is the display of a rating form that makes you the critic. The result of the second is a file update that reflects your opinion, as expressed via the displayed form.
