WINSTON TO DISCLOSE SECRET RESEARCH PROGRAM AT LATKE–HAMANTASHEN DEBATE

CAMBRDIGE, MA, 2008. Professor Patrick Henry Winston announced today that he will participate in the MIT Latke–Hamantashen Debate on March 5. The decision was taken after lengthy discussions with his lawyers and publicists.

Professor Winston plans to reveal during the debate that the real goal of artificial intelligence is to develop a program that passes the famous Latke–Hamantashen test devised by Alan Turing in 1950. “Eventually the truth has to be told,” he said “Stata's exotic architecture is meant to distract attention from the darkly secret work that goes on inside.”

Professor Winston is a Ford Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. Nevertheless, he drives Saabs, often faster than he should.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology educates men and women of high potential through degree programs in engineering, science, business, architecture, and the humanities. The Institute is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
