Prateesh Goyal

I am a fifth year PhD student at MIT advised by Hari Balakrishnan and Mohammad Alizadeh. My field of research is Computer Networking. I work on developing new algorithms, protocols and architecture for improved performance and functionality. The primary focus of my work is congestion control; the work spans data center, wireless (Wi-Fi and cellular) and wide area networks. Other interests include video conferencing, video streaming, blockchain systems, etc.

Before MIT, I did my undergrad at IIT Bombay in Computer Science and Engineering with a minor in Statistics.
