In 1996 and 1997, I was project director of the MIT AI Lab Intelligent Information Infrastructure Project, which developed software and systems for intelligent access to e-mail and web basedpublications. I also managed the transition of Publication Server technology to the Executive Office of the President of the United States.
From 1996 - 1999, I served at DARPA as Program Manager in the then Information Technology Office (now Information Processing Technology Office). I created and managed the Self Adaptive Software Program and Autonomous Negotiating Teams Program, and assisted in managing three other programs: Evolutionary Design of Complex Software, Adaptive Computing Systems, and Information Survivability.
Since 1999 I have worked on projects on Self Adaptive Software, smart spaces, information survivability, and middleware and applications for networked sensor ensembles.
I participate in the following research groups:
Agent-based Intelligent Reactive Environments
Robust Engineering of Network Embedded Systems
Self Regenerative Systems
Dynamic Languages for Adaptive Systems
