Manufacturing and Product Design

Computational geometry arises at all levels of manufacturing, from design and simulation, to process planning, product inspection and testing. A number of recent resources have emphasized the prominence of geometry in manufacturing [151][145][141][140][82][72]. A forthcoming special issue of Algorithmica (J. Mitchell, guest editor) focuses on applications of computational geometry to manufacturing.
