Saturday, April 15, 2000 Starting Schedule

Encampment: First Battalion and Massed Music: buses will leave camp at approximately 5:10 AM. 2nd and 3rd Battalion will form up in camp for inspection at 6:45 AM and buses will leave at 7:30 AM.

Hotel: Participants staying at the Sheraton or Westin Hotel: there will be one shuttle bus at 4:30 AM to Lincoln Field where you will be inspected and bussed with participants staying in camp. 2nd and 3rd Battalion members may wish to get themselves to Minuteman Voc Tech for the 6:30 AM inspection (it is walking distance from the Sheraton).

Local: All other participants will park at the Minuteman Vocational Technical High School where you will be inspected and bused according to the following schedule:

  • First Battalion – 4:30 am at Minuteman Vocational Technical High School – Inspection at North Bridge.
  • Massed Music – 4:30 am at Minute Man Vocational Technical High School – Inspection at North Bridge.
  • Second Battalion – 6:30 am inspection at Minute Man Vocational Technical High School (bus departs at 7:15).
  • Third Battalion – 6:30 am inspection at Minute Man Vocational Technical High School (bus departs at 7:15).

Buses will be making one stop at the MM Voc Tech High School at 4:30 am for the 1st Battalion and Massed Music, and one at 7:15 am for the 2nd and 3rd Battalions. Be on time: there is no other place to be inspected and join the event. Walk-ons will not be allowed. Make sure that you meet the clothing and safety guidelines so that you will not be disappointed in the morning.

DIRECTIONS to MinuteMan Voc Tech:

  • From I-95/Route 128 - Take the Route 2A exit (Exit 30) towards Concord/E. Lexington. At the end of the ramp take a Right on Route 2A West.
  • On Route 2A you will head West towards the National Park. The Minuteman Voc Tech entrance is on the left about 300 yards after you exit Route 128 just after you pass the entrance to the Sheraton (which is on your right).

DIRECTIONS to Lincoln Field:

  • Take Route 2A East. Less than a 1/4 mile down the road, turn left on Lincoln Street before the Gulf station and the camp is about 1/2 mile on the right.
