How do I start? Join us
for a day or for a weekend. We enjoy what we do and enjoy doing it with
each other, and we think that you will too. If you think you are
interested, come to one of our events. You will get to know members of the
regiment and become familiar with what we do. If you want to know more,
join us at one or more of our events. We can supply clothing for you to
borrow so you will feel comfortable in the field. If you decide to join
us, we can help you at each step as you get started. Members can help in a
variety of ways as you get uniformed, equipped and learn more about early
American history and the people we portray. As a group, we value
authenticity and take seriously our obligation to be faithful to those
whose lives we portray, and expect that new members will, too. New members
have a year to get their basic clothing and equipment together.
In order to take to the field with us, we require that you become
familiar with, and strictly observe, our safety rules and any commands
given by officers. We also require that you become familiar with the musket
and marching drills. We hold drill sessions at most of our events and on
other occasions during the year, providing opportunities for all who wish
to attend and polish their drilling skills. To learn more about the unit
and how to become involved contact us via e-mail at info@saintonge.org
