Cryptography is the study of privacy and correctness of computation and data. Professor Goldwasser’s research aims to find appropriate definitions and proofs of security, through cryptographic protocol design, motivated by technological challenges. She is currently investigating questions in “leakage resilience”, “computing on encrypted data”, and “scalable multi-party computations”.
Goldwasser is particularly interested in the relationship of cryptograhy modelsĀ to other fields, such as complexity theory, randomness, and distributed computing.
