2 years, 11 months, 1 day Dillon is back from a fun week in Boston with Brier and his mama. He ate a whole pound lobster and a lot of clam chowder, but particularly enjoyed the lobster lollipop he brought home as a souveneir. Jaime particularly enjoyed that he sat through the entire conference banquet politely.

2 years, 10 months, 15 days Griffin just cut off Dillon's rat tail. It had gotten quite long. Mom and Dad are sad, and determined to grow it back again.

2 years, 10 months, 1 day This weekend Mom and Dillon spent some alone time, and Dillon, when given the choice to do whatever he wanted, chose to go to "Mommy's office!" He seems to be taken with adult activities lately: He loves to carry Mom's Diet Coke or Dad's coffee, use a knife for cutting, and check on the medicine in the medicine cabinet to make sure it's ok. He's also had a recent explosion in language, and talks in adorably complete and complicated sentences with multi-syllable words.

2 years, 9 months, 1 day Dillon and his two older brothers have recently moved out of Mom and Dad's room into their own room. Dillon loves his bottom bunk, especially now that he's discovered it can sometimes be a cave. The boys are very cute in the evening, lying in bed and chatting with each other as they wind down from a busy day playing in the sunshine.

Dillon's hair is getting shaggy, and he's probably ready for a haircut sometime soon. Dillon has a rat tail that he loves, and his hair is so ong that it's getting almost hard to distinguish!

2 years, 7 months, 25 days Dillon recently spent a week at home with Dada and Griffin while Mama and Cale attended a conference in Boston. It was his first extended period of time away from Cale, and he handled it like a champ. He and Griff clearly enjoyed their time together, and the two of them have had a lot of fun lately romping through the garden hunting for bugs. Dada even lead them on a (plastic) tarantula hunt through the forest.

2 years, 6 months, 11 days A couple of weeks ago Dillon had an interview at The Little School, and he's excited to heading to school there with his big brother in the fall. But he's also been a little shy lately, and Mom and Dad hope the transition won't be too hard. Unlike big brother Griffin, Dillon hasn't yet had a lot of experience being cared for by different people.

Recent interests include snakes, foreign language books, and swimming with Mama.

2 years, 3 months, 16 days Dillon has been eating like crazy lately. Nothing in the house is safe from him. He also devours books like crazy. No adult is safe from being asked to read non-stop.

It's been a busy holiday season for Dillon and his brothers. Lots of family and friends came to visit over Thanksgiving, and Dillon helped pick out a Christmas tree for the family. The boys took a train to visit Santa, and today they played in the first snowfall of the year.

2 years, 1 month, 19 days Life's a game for Dillon. If he wants to do something, he says, "I want to play that game!" He's also grown quite the little rat tail. Mom and Dad love it, and it helps them tell him from his brother, even from behind.

2 years, 15 days Dillon welcomed little brother Brier (url) into his family today!

Wednesday, September 3, 2008
2 years, 6 days Dillon had his two-year doctor's appointment today, and is clearly a healthy, happy toddler with amazing language abilities. He grew a lot this year and is now 38" tall. He weighs 31 pounds and 2 ounces. Cale, incidentally, is within two ounces and a third of an inch.

Tuesday, August 19, 2008
1 year, 11 months, 22 days Every Thursday this summer, Dillon and Mama have gone swimming together. Dillon particularly enjoys climbing onto the wall and jumping in. He's a real little fish.

1 year, 11 months, 6 days Yesterday was Dillon's second birthday party. He and 80 of his closest friends celebrated the event with a spooky Halloween bash.

1 year, 10 months, 24 days Cale and Dillon are enjoying the week at home with Dada and Omi while Griffin and Mama explore Singapore.

Thursday, June 19, 2008
1 year, 9 months, 22 days Dillon has been very into reading lately, and, "Read it!" is one of his favorite refrains. He requests "ABCD" every night before bed, and can sing good chunks of it himself.

Monday, April 28, 2008
1 year, 8 months Dillon got his cast off today! He wasn't very happy about actually getting it off, but he loved having his arm free.

Saturday, April 26, 2008
1 year, 7 months, 29 days Today Dillon went to a baseball game, and enjoyed fabulous seats right behind the visitor's dugout -- although he was really more interested in the crowds than what was going on on the field. Dad bought him a stuffed moose that quickly became a favorite.

Thursday, April 10, 2008
1 year, 7 months, 13 days Mom returned today from attending a conference in Italy without the children. Dillon spent a nice week at home with Dad, Sheila, his brothers, and Omi.

Wednesday, March 26, 2008
1 year, 6 months, 27 days Dillon broke his arm last night. It was just a comical little fall, from a low padded bench onto a carpeted floor, but it was enough to cause the poor boy a lot of pain. He's in a splint right now, and will get a cast shortly.

Monday, March 17, 2008
1 year, 6 months, 18 days Dillon went to his baby brother's prenatal appointment today, and enjoyed listening to the baby's heartbeat.

Monday, February 25, 2008
1 year, 5 months, 28 days Dillon is going to be a big brother (url). He must know something is up, because lately he's been obsessed with hugging Mom's belly.

Friday, January 11, 2008
1 year, 4 months, 14 days At his well-baby doctor's appointment today Dillon weighed 28 pounds and 2 ounces (within 2 ounces of Cale) and was 33-3/4 inches tall (within a quarter inch of Cale). He also showed off his prolific vocabulary, making animal sounds Mom didn't even know he knew.

Tuesday, December 25, 2007
1 year, 3 months, 28 days Mele Kalikimaka. Dillon is enjoying Hawaii, and particularly likes swimming in the ocean with Mama. To Dillon's delight, there are lots of animals on the island, including fish ("Ish! Ish!"), horses ("Deigh! Deigh!"), and parrots ("Duck!"). Balls are another obsession of Dillon's, and any time he sees anything circular he squeals, "Ball! Ball!"

Saturday, December 15, 2007
1 year, 3 months, 18 days Dillon has more or less been sleeping through the night for the past couple of weeks, occasionally waking at most once during a twelve hour stretch. "Yay!" say Mom and Dad.

Thursday, October 4, 2007
1 year, 2 months, 9 days Dillon was a ladybug for Halloween. He loved trick-or-treating, and loved playing with his glow stick most of all. In other news, Dillon and Cale have started swimming every weekend with Mom and Dad in preparation for their upcoming trip to Hawaii. Dill also continues to pick up new words and signs at an amazing rate, with "b" words being and food-related signs being his favorites.

Thursday, October 4, 2007
1 year, 1 month, 6 days Sunday night Dillon had his first trip to the ER because he had a very high fever and was listless. Tests revealed the poor boy had a UTI. The antibiotics have finally kicked in and he's feeling better, but Mom and Dad are not looking forward to taking him in for a VCUG test to confirm the UTI doesn't indicate a structural problem.

Despite not feeling well, Dillon has consoled himself with thoughts of airplanes. When he hears the word, he looks up into the sky and starts flying his hand around while making engine roaring noises. Not surprisingly, he loved the family trip to the Museum of Flight on Saturday, and while sick he enjoyed looking up pictures of airplanes on the Internet.

1 year, 1 month, 1 day Dillon got his first pair of shoes this weekend.

Friday, September 21, 2007
1 year, 24 days Dillon started Music Together (url) today. He chose to spend most of the class just observing. Two weeks ago he also started swim lessons, and he loves splashing in the water.

Tuesday, September 4, 2007
1 year, 7 days Both Dillon and his brother Cale slept until 3:45am last night.

Saturday, September 1, 2007
1 year, 4 days Dillon loves airplanes, and had a blast at the Museum of Flight today. When he sees an airplane in the sky, he'll point at it and chase after it as if he can catch it. Dillon has also started talking. None of the adults in his life can understand him, but he really sounds like he knows what he's saying.

1 year Today Dillon turns 1!
