Sea Dogs is a reading group started at the Computer Science and
Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). However, instead of
reading technical papers we read literature. Ok, ok, so that makes it
a book club...
The book club meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 7 PM - 10 PM. The meeting consists
of a pot luck dinner and discussion of the book. To participate, you
should do several things before the monthly meeting: One, procure and
read the book. Two, choose and prepare a dish for the potluck.
The potluck dish you prepare should be in theme with the book. Email
the type of dish you plan to prepare to seadogs-dish@ai.mit.edu.
Look at what others are planning to bring to ensure diversity in the
dishes. You do not have to cook to participate -- wine and other
beverages are encouraged contributions.
