  Poster (2816x1792 pixels, and growing...)

This mosaic contains averages of objects labeled with the LabelMe tool. Before averaging, each object is normalized in scale and centered on a patch of 128x128 pixels. Each image corresponds to a different object description in alphabetical order. Repetitions reveal synonyms. The sharpeness of each average will reveal how precise is the description and how well it narrows down the visual category.

A growing poster:

The poster is generated by extracting all the annotated objects from the LabelMe dataset. You can make new objects appear in the poster by labeling new categories with the LabelMe tool. You need to label at least ten instances in order for it to appear in the poster. If you want to add a new object and you do not find images in the dataset containing what you are looking for, you can also send us pictures and we will include them in the dataset for you to label them. The poster will be regenerated periodically.
