This page shows all the annotations available in the dataset together with some estatistics:

  • Description: objects are sorted according to the raw description entered while using the annotation tool. This description can contain multiple words and several description might correspond to the same object class. The query tool allows searching for single words, grouping multiple descriptions.

  • Average: each thumbnail shows the average intensity of the object patches with the same description. Before averaging, each object is normalized in scale and centered on a patch. The sharpeness of each average will reveal how precise is the description and how well it narrows down the visual category. The average is shown only when there are at least 10 instances labeled. Otherwise, only one instance is shown.

  • Occupied area: histogram of the percentage of pixels occupied (relative to the image size) by each object instance.

  • Boundary points: histogram of the number of points used to define each polygon.

  • Object location: this plot shows the distribution of locations occupied by each instance. Each dot corresponds to the original location, relative to the image frame, of each object instance. These plots help to understand some of the biases that the photographers might have when taking pictures of specific objects.
