Short Course: Statistics for Research Projects

January 22, 2014

Award-winning teaching duo George Chen and Ramesh Sridharan are teaching 6.S085: Statistics for Research Projects this month during MIT's Independent Activities Period (IAP). The course is a useful, practical overview of classical frequentist statistics that should be useful for data literacy, research data analysis, and also for applied machine learning. Ramesh and George's notes (and soon, I've heard, Khan Academy-style videos) should be available on the course site. I plan to post some notes later on too.

Update (2014/01/30): I've uploaded my notes; however, the most authoritative source is the course website.
