A better scan job of the "publicity photograph" image shown below. This is a mockup of a 512-processor CM-5. Also the image has been reversed somewhere along the way. (Thanks to David Lloyd Owen who pointed out the reversal and the similarity to the publicity photograph.)

This is scanned from a publicity photograph given to me by Thinking Machines Corporation Christopher F. Joerg scanned it.
From http://www.corestore.com, a very large CM-5 configuration, Data Vault on the right, CM-2 in foreground. I would guess that this photograph was taken from the viewing gallery at the AHPCRC machine room of CM-5 Serial Number 1.
This is CM-5 Serial Number 1, which is powered off, but still intact (as of May 2005). The photo is courtesy of the Army High Performance Computing Research Center (AHPCRC).
