I am a PhD student in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at MIT, where I work with Tomás Lozano-Pérez and Leslie Pack Kaelbling (LIS lab homepage) on transfer learning in machine vision.

My research interests are object recognition, machine learning, and multiple view geometry. Past projects included wide-baseline matching, image retrieval, and multimedia databases. Currently, I am developing a system to construct virtual training examples for multi-view object class recognition.  By estimating the 3D class skeleton and approximating the view transformations, we can generate realistic novel views of object instances for training, which avoids the need for extensive real data and achieves better recognition.

Before I started my PhD career in computer science, I received an MBA degree in Management Information System (MIS) from National Taiwan University. During my time in business school, I learned how to turn technologies into services and products for users.

I am also a college basketball writer. I have hundreds of articles published in sports magazines such as SLAM.
