Read "A History of Haskell: Being Lazy With Class" (Hudak et. al, 2007) (also available on Canvas). Skim sections 1 & 2 and read sections 3-8 (pg. 8-28). You may skip section 9 onwards. As you read, consider the following questions:
- What were the Haskell designers' primary design goals? What kind of user/use case motivated their design?
- How did the Haskell designers decide which language features to include and which to leave out?
