The string rule

We can compute the form factor thanks to a formula established in heat transfer called "the string rule".

If we stretch a crossed and an uncrossed string between the extremities of the two segments, the form factor is proportionnal to the difference of their lengths.

This can be computed in the corresponding face of the complex by adding or substracting lengths at each vertex.
