Doh!  I wish they'd document how to avoid bugs.  :-)

I only just found it this morning before heading off to work.  I haven't had
a chance to characterise the bug yet (if it can be characterised).  My first
guess was that I didn't use the "expand macro" facility correctly.  (The
"could not parse" bit was a tip-off.)
