Ok, that increases the likelihood that Gwydion Dylan will suit your
needs. Do you need multithreading?

Too bad. Fortunately there are more vendors of Real Computers out
there.
A good choice would probably be something like a rack full of IBM
xSeries 330, running (Free|Open)BSD. Or the equivalent in Dell hardware, if
you want to trade a lesser name for lesser costs.
(Free|Open)BSD has quite a good reputation as a server OS. And both
IBM and Dell build reliable hardware, and offer reasonable support.
I think I could also be persuaded to port Gwydion Dylan to just about
any other decent machine that you send me :).
