I am conducting research on the design and analysis of Large Scale Network
Systems. In particular, we are studying the structure and performance of overlays in the presence of selfish users.
In our initial work, we identified the causes and implications of Mistreatment in distributed caching groups,
and we designed a novel framework to mitigating mistreatment in such groups (see Distributed Selfish Caching).
In a collaborative effort, we are designing scalable algorithms for Service Deployment in the Internet-scale.
In the past, we have studied the
robustness of resource-reduced routers in the presence of aggressive high speed transport protocols (see The
Effect of Router Buffer Size on the end-to-end Protocols Performance ) and we
designed distributed leader election mechanisms to prolong the lifetime of heterogeneous wireless networks
(see SEP: A Stable Election Protocol for clustered heterogeneous wireless sensor networks).
