Letter to Time Magazine:

Mr. Bush's main problem is that he fails to think one step ahead. He invaded Iraq but didn't plan for the aftermath. He offended allies whose help we now miss. He lowered the bar to starting wars without thinking how that'll destabilize the world.

He cut corners, bypassing the U.N. and the courts; such corner-cutting eventually led to Abu Ghraib.

Toughness can't make up for lack of judgement.
