MIT Museum
April 31st - May 2nd, 2002

The MIT Museum and MIT student art group, ATat (Arts and Technology at tech), present the third installment of the Collision Series, a celebration of arts and technology. Work from MIT students as well as boston area artists will be on display in the museum for the weekend. Mediums include interactive computer graphics, light sculpture, robots, digital clothing, soundscapes, video installations and more. Most works will call for a bit of audience participation so bring your creativity. There will be something for everyone. Artists include Casey Reas, Jonathan Bachrach, Aaron Edsinger, Jeff Weber, Kevin McCormick, Brian Knep, Henry Kaufman, Fran Trainor, Joe Davis, Ben Piper, Dan Paluska, Holly Gates, Magaret Weigel, Ryan McKinley and John Powell.

"The art in the Collision shows appeals to people on so many different levels. I think many people are frustrated by the sterility of untouchable paintings in whitewashed galleries. Most of the technology used in the Collision shows is technology that brings the art closer to the viewer and allows the viewer to participate in a way they never have before.
