Troubleshooting Linux with Earthlink DSL
Here are some things to try and/or keep in mind if you can't connect.
Make sure that your kernel includes PPP support.
"User Name" for tkpppoe configuration is not your full e-mail, just the part before the "@"-sign (i.e. "jrennie", not "jrennie @ earthlink.net").
Make sure that your network card (eth0 or eth1) is configured with no static IP, no DHCP, and no startup-on-boot.
If you are running Red Hat, you may need to remove pump and install a dhcp client.

In a terminal as root user run:
export DEBUG=1 adsl-start
