PortableApps.com Updater Beta 1 Help
Portable Apps up to date
The PortableApps.com Updater is created with some ideas and code from the PortableApps.com Installer, which is copyright PortableApps.com.
It uses GNU Wget Version 1.11 as a binary version found on: http://wget.addictivecode.org/. (This version was compressed with upx --best --compress-icons=0 --crp-ms=999999 in order to save space.)
PortableApps.com Updater is a tool designed to keep your PortableApps up to date. It is published under the terms of GNU General Public License. The updater can work as part of the PortableApps.com Platform or as a standalone executable.
Keep in mind that the updater is currently in Beta status. Everything could change in future versions, depending on the current PortableApps.com Platform. Only applications published according to the PAF (PortableApps.com Format) are supported.
Please note that any non-official applications not obtained from PortableApps.com are unsupported.
The PortableApps.com Updater requires Internet access. It supports proxy connections and will try to use the IE proxy settings of the current user. The default settings should match nearly 90% of the users. If You need special or advanced settings please start the updater with parameter /SHOWOP
The updater checks for PortableApps folders in the same directory as the PortableAppsUpdater folder. For all supported Apps (at the moment all published Apps on PortableApps.com) which are not present or different as the published versions download and installation is offered.
If you wish to ignore an app, you can set it on your personal blacklist in settings.ini and it will be ignored until you re-enable it.
