THE CAMBRIDGE ROBOT PROJECT

PRESENTS

ROBOTS & FILM

15th – 18th MAY 2006

Since the robot was first invented in R.U.R, film has also contributed to our vision of the robot and what it means to be human. This year not only marks the anniversary of the invention of the robot, but also AI: Artificial Intelligence. AI has had a profound impact on the representation of intelligent robotic and machine life. We start the film series with films of animating life before robots, and continue to explore the themes of work, artificial intelligence, and love. All films will be preceded by short talks.
