Homepage of Kandan Ramakrishnan

I am currently a Postdoctoral associate at CSAIL, MIT working with Dr. Aude Oliva. My research lies at the intersection of computer vision, machine learning and visual cognition. Specifically, I am interested to build and analyze systems that achieve high performance on real-world visual tasks.

Previously I obtained a PhD in Computer Science at University of Amsterdam under Dr.Sennay Ghebreab, Dr. H. Steven Scholte and Professor Arnold W.M. Smeulders. I completed my Masters(Electrical engineering) in 2011 from the University of Minnesota, USA. During this period, I interned at Xerox-PARC(Palo Alto Research Center) and INRIA, Sophia Antipolis. I completed my Bachelors(Electrical engineering) at SRM University, Chennai.
