Homepage of Kandan Ramakrishnan

Currently, I am at IBM research, Cambridge working on problems in continual learning and few-shot learning. The aim is that such learning paradigms might give rise to models that better correspond to how humans process visual information. Previously, I was at CSAIL, MIT working with Dr. Aude Oliva as a Postdoctoral Associate.

I obtained a PhD in Computer Science at University of Amsterdam under Dr.Sennay Ghebreab, Dr. H. Steven Scholte and Professor Arnold W.M. Smeulders. I completed my Masters(Electrical engineering) in 2011 from the University of Minnesota, USA. During this period, I interned at Xerox-PARC(Palo Alto Research Center) and INRIA, Sophia Antipolis. I completed my Bachelors(Electrical engineering) at SRM University, Chennai.
