Miika Aittala
About
Starting Nov 2019, I have left MIT and joined NVIDIA Research at Helsinki. Prior to this, I was a postdoctoral researcher at MIT CSAIL, working with prof. Frédo Durand on computer graphics, computer vision and machine learning. My interests include material appearance capture, rendering and light transport, image processing, and deep learning.
I received my M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees at Aalto University, advised by prof. Jaakko Lehtinen. Prior to my current position, I have also worked at or visited Inria GraphDeco, NVIDIA Research Helsinki (intern), and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.
